Brenda and Mac race against the clock to find Patrick’s killer or killers, before they are led down the wrong aisle.
At the Sheffield Bed & Breakfast, owner Brenda Rivers and her reservationist Allie Williams are preparing for the event of a lifetime: the wedding of Brenda’s father and the establishment’s chef. Many guests arrive at Sheffield for this glorious occasion, except for a few people-rude and outspoken Patrick Anderson; Rick Dawson; Carrie Porter and Daniel Swift.
Meanwhile, as new lives begin at the wedding, one has been brutally taken away. That of Patrick Anderson. Sheffield Detective Mac Rivers discovers the late Patrick in an oversized foot locker left at the back door of the police station. Together, he and Brenda get to the bottom of the murder. Although the missing wedding guests all become suspects in the case, Brenda discovers an odd attendee who becomes an albeit unreliable witness to the crime: Alexandra Cornell.
